UnionTech · SLA for tyre mould production
UnionTech RA600
An SLA printer built for tyre mould manufacturing. It reproduces complex tread patterns at ±0.1 mm, so tyre master moulds come off the printer with faster lead times.

Why the RA600
For tyre master moulds and tyre mould prototypes.
Runs unattended, around the clock
Software generates the print paths automatically, so the RA600 runs 24/7 without manual programming.
Fine tread detail
It holds ±0.1 mm on fine tread patterns and complex geometry, which leaves room for more intricate mould designs.
Fewer steps
Moulds print as one piece without separate steel sheets, which UnionTech say shortens production cycles and cuts cost.
Print on demand
Printing moulds as they are needed means no stock of mould patterns to store.
Less chemical use
UnionTech say the digital route uses fewer chemicals than conventional mould prototyping.
What it makes
UnionTech show tyre mould samples printed on the RA600.
Tyre master moulds
Master moulds with complex tread patterns, printed directly from the design data.
Tyre mould prototypes
Prototype moulds for new tread designs, made without waiting for machining.

Before it arrives
What the RA600 needs from your site, from UnionTech's published data.
Floor space and weight
The machine measures 1375 × 1295 × 1930 mm and weighs 850 kg. Check the route in and the floor loading before delivery.
Power
It needs 200-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, single phase, rated at 2.6 kVA.
The room
UnionTech specify a room at 22-26 °C, changing by no more than 1 °C an hour, with relative humidity below 40%.
Data and network
It takes .stl files over Ethernet and runs on Windows 10.

The software that runs it
Included with the printer
UnionTech RSCON
UnionTech's control software. It runs the printer under closed-loop control and takes .stl files from your preparation software. UnionTech say their software prepares the data and generates the print paths, so the RA600 needs no manual programming.

RA600 questions
What accuracy can the RA600 achieve?
Up to ±0.1 mm on parts under 100 mm and ±0.1% of the dimension on larger parts. That is enough for fine tread detail and complex geometry.
Can it print complex, intricate tread patterns?
Yes. UnionTech built the RA600 for tyre master moulds and say it excels at highly detailed, complex tread patterns.
How much faster is it than conventional mould making?
UnionTech report that LiChong Mould improved efficiency by over 80% after adopting the RA600 for tyre moulds. Your result depends on your moulds and your current process.
Will it change our existing workflow?
UnionTech designed it to fit existing digital design and manufacturing workflows. It takes .stl files. Their software handles data preparation and print paths.
Who installs and supports the RA600 in the UK?
Europac 3D. We supply, install and support UnionTech printers in the UK, as well as training your operators.
