A laser that fires from underneath.
On a DWS 3D printer the laser shoots up through a transparent resin tank, so the part is drawn out of a shallow tray rather than lowered into a vat. Less resin sits in the machine. Switching material between builds is quick.
Less resin tied up
A shallow tank replaces the large vat most SLA machines need, so you are not buying litres of a material to print one part.
Fast material changes
Because the resin sits in a tank rather than a vat, moving from one material to the next between builds is a tank change.
