Range update (August 2026): the XFAB 2500 HD is a previous-generation DWS system and no longer features in DWS’s current range. We continue to support installed machines — ask us about the current equivalent, the DW 028XLHR, DWS’s current high-resolution desktop printer for goldsmiths, or request a quote for the latest range.

The X FAB 2500 HD is a great companion for small goldsmiths and designers looking to produce a wide variety of highly detailed and accurate models for direct casting and rubber mouldings.

The small material cartridges for the XFAB series have been specifically designed for a quick, clean and easy change over when swapping between materials. The automatic extrusion system means there is no manual intervention required while 3d printing and the risks of accidental leaks are eliminated, creating a fantastic user friendly system for those unfamiliar with this type of technology.

The BluEdge laser technology has been developed in-house by DWS, it is accurate precise and calibrated to obtain smooth surfaces that require no further finishing. There is no ongoing maintenance or adjustments to this laser system.

Extensive Material Options

The XFAB 2500 HD has 7 different jewellery material options which are developed in house by the DWS R&D team. The raw materials cartridges come in easy to install bottles that make material change over quick and easy without making a mess. The 180mm cylindrical print volume is an excellent size for small production runs.

Fusia 444 is a cutting-edge wax-like material for casting applications. Easy to burn out, the material is versatile and was developed for any kind of design model, from thin to thick thickness, from detailed models to extremely smooth surfaces.

Therma 289

Therma 289 is a light green nano-ceramic material. It is ideal for models that require high thermal resistance tesingt and high definition models for vulcanized rubber molds.

Therma 294 is a light blue nano-ceramic material. It was developed to be resistant and rigid and it is suitable for vulcanised rubber moulds. It can be used also for thermal resistance tests and high definition models.
