REVERSE ENGINEERING SERVICES

The process of reverse engineering using traditional methods such as callipers can be a long, tedious process and often uses a lot of guess work. The use of 3D scan data has brought this process into the 21st Century and now capture of 100% of parts is possible. Europac 3D utilises its extensive range of 3D scanning hardware to offer a reverse engineering service for virtually any component whether it be big, small, detailed or highly accurate.

However reverse engineering doesn’t finish after just 3D scanning a part, more than often parts are imperfect and have manufacturing defects. We don’t want these imperfections in the end 3D model or drawings. Europac3d utilises its portfolio of modelling software to offer a ‘full’ reverse engineering service whereby design intent can be analysed and adjusted to create a perfect parametric solid model as if designed from scratch.

Need a replacement part recreated?

Some replacement-part projects qualify for free scanning and reverse engineering. Where a component is discontinued or impossible to source and there is a reasonable chance other people need the same one, 3D Printworx Scan-to-Part covers the engineering and you pay only for the manufactured part. Everything else we quote the normal way, on this page.
