Why the PILOT 250

For engineering parts, medical models and small, detailed prototypes.

Fine beam, fine detail

A 0.06-0.08 mm beam and ±0.025 mm accuracy on features under 25.4 mm, for small parts with sharp detail.

Less finishing

UnionTech say parts come off with good sidewall quality and fine detail, so they need less finishing.

Open materials and access

An open design for materials and machine access.

Adjusts itself

Automatic adjustment of the resin level and process parameters, for consistent performance.

Granite recoater frame

UnionTech’s brochure lists a granite recoater frame for stable recoating.

Replaceable vat

The resin vat is replaceable.

What it makes

UnionTech show these parts printed on the PILOT 250.

Engineering parts

Small functional parts and geometry studies.

Medical models

Detailed anatomical and medical models.

Product prototypes

Parts such as a reclining chair component, printed for fit and form.

Aerodynamic models

Wing sections and similar models.

PILOT 250 questions

How accurate is the PILOT 250?

UnionTech quote ±0.025 mm on features under 25.4 mm and ±0.1% of the dimension on larger ones.

Is the resin vat replaceable?

Yes.

Which is right for me, the PILOT 250 or 450?

The 250 has the finer beam, 0.06-0.08 mm, plus the tighter accuracy on small features. The 450 builds up to 450 × 450 × 400 mm for larger parts or bigger batches.

What does the room need?

UnionTech specify a room at 22-26 °C with relative humidity below 40%. The printer needs 200-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, single phase power, rated at 2.4 kVA.

Who installs and supports the PILOT 250 in the UK?
